This position is responsible for the safe transportation of material handling equipment to and from various customer locations. This position involves local or long-distance hauling of equipment and supplies as well as loading, unloading, and securing the equipment. This position will also be responsible for adhering to DOT standards/guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:
Actively support Taylor Machine Work’s commitment to safety.
Secures job assignments, shipping documents, written instructions, and verbal instruction from Traffic Manager. Plans sequence of operations, checks instructions, and follows standard procedures.
Reviews materials requirements, loads, unloads, and transports to and from customer locations.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area, including facilities, exercising care in the use of the facilities and assisting in their maintenance as required.
Assists in load preparation and loading customer and/or commercial trucks.
Reviews DOT regulations to help maintain a satisfactory Safety Rating.
Performs all duties and areas of responsibility in accordance to established operational procedures to ensure efficiency, quality and conformance to applicable DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
Route planning & on-time deliveries
Performs other duties as assigned. May be assigned to other work and work areas.
Requirements

Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to safety in all aspect of the job.
Minimum 5 years’ experience hauling heavy equipment.
Must possess a valid CDL Class A driver's license.
Must pass a current DOT physical and medical certification.
Must be insurable by corporate insurance carrier.
Ability to work with limited supervision, self-motivated, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong communication skills
Excellent time management abilities
Ability to adapt to changing environments and delivery deadlines.
